Description

Saber with metal scabbard. The grip is leather wrapped in twisted bronze wire. The guard and pommel are bronze without engraving. The blade has the marks, "U.S. A.D.K. 1863" and "AMES MFG. CO. CHICOPEE MASS."

Owned by Captain Alexander M. Beattie of Co. F, 3rd Vermont, during the Civil War.
