Description

Blue and white silk two-piece dress consisting of a bodice with attached overskirt and skirt. The bodice has long, curve sleeves and opens down the center front, securing with blue post-backed buttons. The high neckline has a standing collar, and the bodice is pleated in knife pleats underneath an upper yolk. It falls into a sort of overskirt, cut in one piece with the front bodice and held in swags at the side. The gored skirt has a self-fabric ruffle at the bottom and an inserted panel of blue cotton at the rear that is covered by the overskirt when worn.
