A pressed shirt for a U.S. Army service uniform that has two breast pockets, epaulets on the shoulders and patches on the shoulders. One, red and black, is the 43rd infantry division patch and the other is the 6th Army patch. This shirt was worn by Lawrence Rossi (1918-2025) of Barre during military service. He spent three years in the Pacific Theater during WWII, serving as a 1st Lieutenant with the Army's 172nd Infantry. After he was discharged in 1946 he continued to serve in the Vermont National Guard and was reactivated to serve in the Korean War. He retired as a Major from the Vermont National Guard in 1963.Acquisition
