Metal duplicator filter and case. The duplicator filter was used to expose only a portion of a glass plate to allow for double exposure "duplication" tricks. The filter consists of a metal cap that fits over a camera lens with a semi-circular cut out taking about 3/8 of the total surface. The front of the filter bears the inscriptions "THE IDEAL DUPLICATOR" and "BURKE & JAMES. CHICAGO". The case consists of a box that slides into a lid. Both are covered in red Morrocan leather, and the top bears the silver inscription "THE IDEAL/DUPLICATOR/No. 2/BURKE & JAMES,/CHICAGO."Use
