Description

Black silk dotted dress with black velvet trim. The dots are flocked. The bodice is boned along the darts in the front, and the center front opening is held with hooks and eyes. The sleeve is formed in two parts, connected partway down the upper arm. The sleeve is a wide bell or pagoda shape. The skirt is cut very full and attaches to the bodice with 1-inch pleats in the front and double box pleats in the back. There are fabric loops sewn into the interior waistline at the side seams. The skirt is decorated with two wide velvet bands, one midway down and the other at the hem. There is a pocket set into the right side seam. The bodice is lined in brown cotton.
