Text on linen (might be homespun) sampler begins at the top with a cursive, upper case alphabet in cream followed by the numbers 1-10. A red, white and blue border followed by an upper case, blue block alphabet. Another red, white and blue border (diamond) followed by a pale blue, lower case alphabet and a wave-like pale blue border. At the bottom "Wrought by/Betsey R Guild/in the 10th Year of her Age/Rockingham July 29th 1819xxxxxxxxx" The perimeter includes three borders. On the outside is a cream triangle design, center has a brown and blue vine and floral, inside a pale blue zig-zag.Acquisition
