Paper money for 5 shillings. The front is printed with the words "VERMONT CURRENCY" in the upper border, along with the serial number 1314. The center has the inscription, "Five Shilling. THE Poffeffor of this BILL fhall be paid by the Treafurer of the State of Vermont, FIVE Shillings, in Silver at Six Shillings and Eight pence per Ounce by the Firft Day of June, A. D. 1782. By Order of Affembly. Windfor, February 1781." It is signed "E. Walbridge" and "Jno. Fasset". The back is printed with the inscription, "Five Shillings. Death to counterfeit. WESTMINSTER.
