Paper money for 20 shillings. The front is printed with the words "VERMONT CURRENCY" in the upper border, along with the serial number 802. The center has the inscription, "Twenty Shillings. THE Poffeffor of this BILL fhall be paid by the Treafurer of the State of Vermont, TWENTY SHILLINGS, in Spanifh mill'd Dollars, at Six Shillings each, or Gold or Silver Coins equivalent, by the firft Day of June, A. D. 1782. By Order of Affembly, Windfor, February 1781." It is signed "J. Porter" and "Jno. Fasset". The back is printed with the inscription, "FORTY SHILLINGS. Death to counterfeit. WESTMINSTER.
