Two-piece grey silk dress consisting of a bodice and skirt. The bodice has 3/4-length sleeves and opens up the center front with 13 metal buttons. The center front placket is made of black silk that is gathered around cords placed horizontally in line with every other button. The cuffs are decorated with pleated black silk and white lace. The hem is slightly pointed in the front and very pointed in the back. The skirt is made in one piece but styled to look like a petticoat and overskirt, with grey silk on the top and hem and black silk in the middle.Context
