This parlor stove is made of cast iron and features two sets of double doors on the front. It has extensive molded decorations, including acanthus leaves, flowers, escutcheons, and two large weeping willows on the front. There is also a door located on the right side of the stove. At the center front of the stove's base is a round platform for placing a kettle. Additionally, there is a chalice (evaporator) located at the center top of the stove. The label, "H.J. RUGGLES GREEN MOUNTAIN PARLOR No 2 PATENTED 1850 WEST POULTNEY, VT." is molded around the top.Context
