Vermont statehood bicentennial quilt, Caledonia county. The quilt consists of a central square block depicting a variation of the Vermont bicentennial logo altered to be more closely represent Caledonia County. The block is surrounded by Twenty-four 8 x 8" blocks that each use different techniques, including piecing, applique, embroidery, and drawing. The blocks are set in bands of plain dark green, a the quilt is bordered in white with a pieced green edge. The backing is green floral calico. A panel on the reverse has the names of the makers mapped to their corresponding blocks. Both machine and hand stiching is used.Context
