Description

Metal kerosene lantern, painted black with darkened brown glass sides. The lantern is rectangular in shape with a cone-like projection at the top and a rounded base with holes. There is a handle on one side in the middle of the device; this side opens (from a hinge) to reveal a space for a kerosene flame on the inside. Maker's mark printed on one of the outer sides of the object "[illegible] NEW YORK."
