Mourning badge consisting of a metal bar pin molded with the initials, "G.A.R.", and a long black ribbon. The ribbon is printed in silver with the inscription, "IN MEMORIAM / STANNARD POST No. 2". A GAR membership badge is printed at the center, and the bottom edge is printed with fake tassels. The ribbon is split horizontally across the top.
