Set of twelve matching napkins. The napkins are made of Canton linen with satin stitched white work embroidery. The embroidery is of a stylized dragon in one corner and the letter S in the opposite corner. Each edge is held in a 2-inch hem with drawn worked hem stitches at the connecting point.

Used by Ida Pearl Switzer Gibson at the inaugural reception of her husband, Ernest Gibson, Jr. at his election to Governor of the State of Vermont in 1949.
