Description

Hide-covered wooden trunk decorated with brass studs. The on the top, the studs for the initials, "A.R.K." within an eye-shaped oval with four diamonds around it. On the latch side, the studs appearing to form a smiley face. The trunk is lined with plain paper. The inside cover has a printed paper label that reads, "All kinds of saddles, bridles, harnesses, military goods, travelling and fancy trunks. Manufactured and kept constantly for sale, by Miles W. Blanchard, No. 4, Lodge Street, northside Hay Market Square, Rutland, Vt."
