Small paper folder, printed in green and red ink containing various types of needles (35 total). The front cover of the needle packet has an image of a well-dressed Victorian lady carrying a parasol and it reads "My Lady Fair, on shopping, bent, Walked forth one pleasant day; Now whither do you think she went? Well, really I should say TO Pepper's WASHINGTON, VT. Where she got just what she wanted at the Lowest possible prices for the best goods." The inside front cover has a small fabric swatch at the top which holds 10 needles. Below that, a smaller paper insert holds the rest of the needles and is printed with an image of Martha Washington and reads "ELLIPTIC GOLD EY'D." On the inside front cover the contents of the needle packet are listed between two printed calendars for the years 1904 and 1905. The inside back cover has an additional advertisement for A.H. pepper that reads "The Woodman Makes the Chips Fly But We Make the Bargains Fly, You'd Better Catch Some of the Bargains "On the Fly." We always keep the best of Groceries, Boots, Shoes and/Rubbers, Cigars, Tobacco, Fruit and Confectionery, Flour A Specialty. A.H. PEPPER, Washington, VT." The back cover has an additional printed advertisement specifically for shoes sold at A.H. Pepper.Context
