Description

Telephone consisting of a wooden box with a handheld receiver. The box is bolted together at the top and has a circular metal grate at the center of one side--either a speaker or microphone. A long leather strap is attached to either side of the top for carrying, and there are three cords: white, black, and green.

Used by telephone repairmen to check the lines.
