Woman's hat. The hat is covered with purple velvet and trimmed with plaited straw, pink silk flowers, and remnants of a purple feather. It ties under the chin with velvet ribbon. It is a small hat that sits on the back of the head and is held in place by hatpins (2 included). It has a wire base with folds of velvet over it. A bow of the same material is near the base of the hat. On either side of the back is a piece of net/lace also in purple.
