Description

Glass plate camera that folds into a box. When folded, the camera slides into a small carrying case. The back side detaches at both the top and the bottom with metal protrusions that slide into clasps. Additionally, a hinged door is placed in the center of the back piece allowing access to the glass plate. Once open, the lens and its attached leather bellows can be slid onto an extendable wooden track. A small plaque under the lens bears in the inscription, "IMPROVED EMPIRE STATE MANUFACTURED BY ROCHESTER OPTICAL CO. Rochester, N.Y."
