Description

Large, decorative wooden spoon. The pine spoon is stained dark olive green with gold tones. The handle of the spoon is carved with the inscription, "R. S. Currier '85". The bowl of the spoon is hand painted with a bunch of dark purple grapes with attached vines and leaves.

Context

Presented to Richard Sawyer Currier of Barre, Vermont, by his Dartmouth classmates for being the "fellow who was the biggest eater".
