Description

U.S. Army oval waist belt plate (buckle) for a common soldier. It has "U S" in raised letters in the center. Stamp on back reads: "W. H. SMITH/BROOKLYN" Oval brass belt buckle molded with the initials "US". The back is marked, "W. H. SMITH BROOKLYN".
