Stoneware crock with large, hand-painted design of flourishes (possibly feathers). There are U-shaped handles on either side of the crock, and a line is incised around the body at the attachment point of the handles. Above the line is the stamped label "LEWS & CADY FAIRFAX VT". A round lip has been applied to the top rim.Context
