Description

Vase-shaped stoneware crock (a) with a cobalt glaze decoration of two leaves. There are U-shaped handles on either side. The lip appears to have been molded separately and flares outward dramatically. A flat cover (b) with a round handle sits inside the lip. At the top center of the crock is the stamped inscription, "NORTON & FENTON / BENNINGTON VT" in a circle around the number 3.
