Description

Maroon knit letter sweater with two white stripes on the left arm. The sweater secures down the center front with 6 red plastic buttons, and there are two pockets at the front hip. A varsity letter was attached to the right front breast, but is now detached. The letter is in the shape of an S in gothic script and made of looped pile wool on white felt lined with plain-woven white cotton.

Context

Worn by a student at Spaulding High School in Barre, Vermont. The two stripes on the sleeve indicate that a varsity letter was earned twice.
