Rectangular wooden cribbage board hinged at the center. When closed, the board forms a box with the cribbage board on the outside. The board consists of 12 light-colored rectangles of inlaid wood, each drilled with 2 rows of 10 holes. In the center of the board, between the 2 rows of inlay, is an oval formed from 30 drilled holes. The inside of the box, or back of the board, islined with paper printed in red and black with the symbols of standard playing card suites (heart, diamond, club, spade) in a repeating tiled pattern. There is a pointed wooden divider at one end. When closed, the box secures with a metal hook.Context
