Black metal lantern with a door on hinges that latches shut. The door holds a large, thick, clear convex glass lens to magnify the light. The interior should have a separate fuel container with a wick, but it is missing from this lantern. Two heavy metal oblong loops on hinges allow the lantern to be held, or possibly attached to a belt. The top is a ruffled conical shape, 2 layers, which allows for venting.Context
