Iron peel. The peel has a flat, shovel-like blade on one end, and the other end is formed into two curls, similar in appearance to a pretzel.

Used to remove items, such as bread loaves, from ovens.

Context

Found in West Hubbardton, Vermont. Believed to have been used by a British encampment there during the Revolutionary War.
