Description

Triangular file, no handle, tapered point; overall length = 5 7/8"; three stars stamped into tang, with "OAS-USA" also imprinted on another side of the tang; no heel on this file and tang is only slight tapered with a bend at the end.

Context

This was in the toolbox of Dwight Joseph Dwinell, who carved the second Ceres statue at the top of the cupola of the Capitol Building.
