Description

Powder horn inscribed, "ABraham Andrus his: horn: Dated / J : powder : with: my : Brother : Ball / Am: Hero: like : to : conquer [superscript] all / Roxbury 1775". The words are within horizontal guide lines. The rest of the horn is engraved with a stylized flower design, shaded with triangular sections of lines and deep dots that have been darkened. The narrow end of the horn is carved down with two decorative bands left raised. The hole is sealed with paper. The wide end of the horn is sealed with a wooden plug with a metal bracket at the center.
