Description

Wooden model of the foundation of the Vermont State House. The model is on a wooden board, which is covered in several pencil notes. The outline of the foundation is raised about 1/4" with spaces for windows and doors. There is a stairway at each end.

Context

Shows the foundation of the Vermont State House, built 1833 to 1837. Used to determine block sizes and quantities by the people who were quarrying the granite for the foundation.
