Description

Clamp, or cramp, appears to be steel; jaws attached to a rod with a bend at one end; jaws tighten by turning a screw, spring inside jaws tightens; no manufacturer's mark; length = 4 5/8".

Context

This was in the toolbox of Dwight Joseph Dwinell, who carved the second Ceres statue at the top of the cupola of the Capitol Building.
