A blue cloth on which is printed/painted an insignia for the town of Cherbourg. It includes a crest with a row of black stars on a white stripe in the middle and three yellow circles, one below the stars and two above. Over the crest is the name of the town in white letters and there a row of yellow and red brick towers of alternating heights. This cloth patch apparently came in an envelop with the following words typed on the outside: "A nos amis d'Amerique, Tous mes bons souhaits les plus sinceres."Context
