Description

Silver-toned metal shoe buckles. The buckles are rectangular with rounded edges. The borders consist of two stripes of metal connected evenly with round dots. The latch bar has a two-pronged, U-shaped latch on one side, and an inward-facing two-pronged quadrilateral clasp on the other.

Worn by 2nd Lieutenant Joseph W. Waldo of Royalton, VT who served in Co. A, 16th Vermont during the Civil War.
