This canteen was among the WWII equipment used by Lawrence Rossi (1918-2025) of Barre during his three years of service in the Pacific Theater. Rossi served in the Army as a 1st Lieutenant with the 172nd Infantry. After he was discharged in 1946 he continued to serve in the Vermont National Guard and was reactivated to serve in the Korean War. He retired as a Major from the Vermont National Guard in 1963.Acquisition
