Description

Black leather cartridge box that secures with a flap that covers the front of the case. The interior is fitted with a tin insert separated into two sections. The case is covered with remnants of glued-on paper. It is accompanied by a box that reads, "6 Combustible Envelope CARTRIDGES. MADE OF HAZARD'S POWDER EXPRESSLY FOR COL. COLT'S PATENT REVOLVING POCKET PISTOL". There is also a paper packet printed with the Vermont state seal and the label, "Qr. M. General's Department, BRATTLEBORO, Vt."
