This is a hand-sewn cotton mattress cover designed to fit a small mattress, possibly for a crib or youth bed. The cover was pieced together using cotton fabric to make it large enough to fit the mattress. On the underside of the mattress cover, there is a placket with a single buttonhole and a metal button that serves as the closure mechanism.
