Description

Colorless glass bottle. The bottle has no decoration. The words "REGISTERED / CONTENTS 8 FL. OZS." with a large letter "K" in the center are impressed on the body of the bottle. The opposite side of the letter "K" features "4285 / ROOT / 27" impressed in small print. The base of the bottle has the words "MIDDLEBURY / VT." stamped on the glass.

Context

There was a glass factory in the 1800s on Lake Dunmore in Salisbury with a side operation in East Middlebury. No further information has been found about 20th century dates of operation.
