Description

Laced puttee. Each laces up the outside and has a strap across the bottom that secures with a metal buckle. They are stamped, "Callahan Schuykill Arsenal".

Context

Worn by Elwyn Jones of Fairhaven, Vermont, during World War I. Elwyn was inducted into the Students Army Training Corps at the University of Vermont for limited service on October 23rd, 1918. The war ended November 11, 1918.
