Male figure made of papier- mâché over a wire frame wearing a wool suit. The pants and vest are made of wool in a small black-white-and-brown hounds tooth pattern. There are 6 small beads down the center front of the vest simulating buttons, and a short watch chain. The vest's lapels are cream silk. The jacket reaches to the figure's mid-thigh and is made of brown twill-woven wool. There three buttons. The figure is also wearing a high-collared white cotton shirt with three buttons and a large purple silk bowtie. He is also wearing a brown felt hat with a wide brim and black shoes. He is holding a pair of leather gloves, and there is a newspaper under his arm. There is a blue-painted plywood base labeled on the bottom with the artist's name and date (1972).Use
