1st Vermont Cavalry regimental flag. It has a blue ground with the Vermont state seal painted at the center. Beneath the seal is a banner that reads "FIRST REGIMENT VERMONT CAVALRY". Surrounded the seal are the names of battles the regiment participated in. It has gold fringe on 3 sides, and 5 ribbon ties on the other edge. Upper left: Craig's Meeting House, Spottsylvania Ct House, Yellow Tavern, Meadow Bridge, Hanover C.H., Ashland. Upper right: Reams Station, Winchester, Summit Point Kearns. Center (in gold): Namozine Church, Mechanicsville, Five Forks, Piping Tree, Lacies Springs, Waynesboro, Appomattox Station, Clover Hill. Lower left: Hanes Shop, White Oak Swamp, Malvern Hill, Nottaway Ct House, Roanoke Station, Stoney Creek. Lower right: Front Royal, Tanes Brook, Cedar Creek, Middle Road.
