Description

White cotton pouch filled with miscellaneous objects. The pouch is shaped like a wedge with a raw-edged opening at the top, a straight edge formed on a fold at the left, and a curved edge stitched with running stitches in black thread from the bottom of the fold to the top opening. Inside the pouch is a metal button, a buckle on a broken leather strap, a small screwdriver fashioned from a clock winding key, and several pieces of chalk.

Owned by True Blake Walter, a musician in Co. E, 15th Vermont, during the Civil War.
