Description

Family record sampler. The sampler has a variation of a strawberry border, with the strawberries alternating with butterflies. The interior of the sampler is stitched the inscription: Famiy. Record. Chauncy. Rockwell. Walker. was born at Sudbury Vermont February 3d 1799 and moved to Benson Vermont April 21 1817. Jane. S. Cooley. was born at Granville Massachusetts. April 8th.1809 and moved to Benson Vermont March 25, 1810. Married at Benson Dec 16 1827. by the Rev Dan Kent Cauncy. R. Walker. to Jane. S. Cooley. An Infant Son died at Benson Sept 23,1828. Ellen C Walker. was born at Benson Oct 13.1829. Emmaretta M Walker. was born at Benson March 11.1832. Mila S Walker, was born at Benson June 7.1834. Rockwell W. Walker. was born at Benson June 2.1837. and died Sept 6.1838 aged 15 months and 4 days. Rockwell P Walker. was born at Benson December 23.1839. An Infant Son died at Benson May 23.1843. Ethelinda Aura. A. Walker. was born at Benson Oct 11.1822. Lauretta A. Walker. was born at Benson May 30.1848. C.R.Walker died at B. Feb 15 1850. aged 51 years. 1857. Mila S. Hughes died at Mo Oct. 30 aged 23.years. E.M.Walker.died at Benson Vt. July 14.1860.aged 28 E.C.W. Benedict died at Gansewoort NY. Oct 20.1861 aged 32 year.s. Wrought by E.C.Walker in 1851.
