Description

Tin cup with straight handle attached just below the rim. The top lip is reinforced with a wire, and the handle is attached with two rivets. The bottom is soldered over the sides, and the side seam is folded and soldered. The top of the handle is scratched with the label, "Fifer Walter/ 15 Regt Vt Vol Co. E."

Context

Owned by True Blake Walter during the Civil War. Walter served as a musician in Company E, 15th Regiment Vermont.
