Male figure made of papier- mâché over a wire frame wearing an unbuttoned cotton shirt, patchwork vest, and shorts. The vest is pieced from rectangles of cotton printed in small dots and checks in blue and brown. The shirt has a collar and short sleeves, and has been purposely stained around the hem. The shorts are unhemmed and are embroidered at the crotch with pink flowers. It is held up with a brown, leather belt. The figure is wearing brown leather sandals and a necklace with a large pendant. Brown wool is glued to the chest, simulating chest hair, as well as too the head and face, giving the figure long hair and a beard. He is shown taking a step forward while looking upward with his palms facing outward. There is a square wooden base with the label, "The Exalted Hippy, Burlington, VT, 1974".Use
