Red-and-white transfer printed plate showing the Vermont Statehouse. The plate has no shaped rim, but has a border design of roses. The center of the plate shows the statehouse within a scene surrounded by young trees with a straight-topped hill behind. At the top of the scene a ribbon bears the inscription, "PICTURESQUE VERMONT", and the bottom is labeled, "STATE CAPITOL MONTPELIER".
The reverse bears a makers label of the words "JONROTH ENGLAND" with a circle topped with a crown. Beneath the label are the words, "Made in Stafforshire England by the Bedford Potteries established in 1792 Imported exclusively for Paul C. Harrington. Montpelier, VT."Context
