Description

Floral printed dress trimmed with brown and blue fringed ribbon. The fabric is printed in an all-over pattern of brown flowers with brightly-colored centers (pink, green, blue, and yellow). The bodice opens down the center front and secures with hooks and eyes. The sleeves are constructed in two parts with an outer bell sleeve attached at the elbow. The skirt attaches to the bodice with cartridge pleats and there is a very slight train. The hem is faced with glazed cotton.

Said to have been owned by Ruth Chamberlin Sutton (1886-1978), owner of the dry goods store "The Old Bee Hive" in Burlington, Vermont
