Description

Brown suede gaiters. The tall gaiters extend up the wearer's legs and are accented on the bottom edge and opening slit with brown leather. The slit secures closed with laces through bronze eyelets. There is an attached leather strap across the top of the gaiters with a metal buckle. The interiors are marked, "39 Co. F. Regt." and "39 Co. F 18".

Likely belonged to Horation Keyes of Windsor, Vermont, during the Civil War.
