Description

Child's leather boot. The boot has a layered leather sole and two-part upper with a seam just above the toes. The leather folds across the top of the foot with button closures and a scalloped edge, with a buckle around the base of the ankle. There is a metal brace affixed to the inner side of the boot with an adjustable leather strap that would buckle around the wearer's calf.

Context

Found in the walls of a home in Montpelier, Vermont, during demolition.
