Hatbox for Admiral Henry T. Mayo's uniform hat (.59.1.1) and belt (.59.1.3). Rectangular black metal with hinged cover; two levers attached to inside back to hold hat in place when lowered; in all four corners, box extensions for holding accessories; and in center an oval-shaped form 3.5" high with a hinged cover to hold a belt which has been rolled, and when the cover is lowered in place, to serve as a form on which to rest the hat. Cover has a metal handle in center and on front edge, connecting top and bottom, a latch to hold a lock in place.
