Description

Man's vest made of paper. The vest consists of 4 panels: 2 back pieces, seamed at the center, and 2 front sides. Each front side has three lengths of twill tape stitched to it, which tie together to close the front of the vest. The bottom piece is stitched around to the back, where it can tie to adjust fit. The paper is made in variegated thickness in 2-way stripes, giving it a quilted or corded appearance. The edges are bound with twill tape. The interior back has a paper label printed with an image of a burning log, and the words, "New York Paper Clothing Mfg. Co. / 290 PEARL ST. NEW YORK. / Pat. Appl'd For." The top corners are inked with the labels "No. A" and "Size 38".
